Flavia Piola is an Italian documentary photographer based in Rome.
She was born in 1993 and she started studying photography at the Istituto Superiore di Fotografia of Rome, Italy.

Passionate about art, she works as a gallerist in a famous hotel in the historic center of Rome.

Since 2017, she has been freelancing as a photographer and filmmaker, and has assisted an italian photo artist, Alessandro Valeri, who joined the Biennale di Venezia two times.

She is currently carrying out two photographic projects focused on the mental health and the violence against women.

Her work has appeared in La Repubblica, MIFA, Artribune, Arcipelago, Perimetro, Todi Immagina.

In 2020, she attended ICP’s One-Year Certificate Programs in Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism.
